Relationships are an intrinsic part of health and Relationships are an intrinsic part of health and wellbeing. But as humans, one of the most common things we do from an unconscious state is complain about all the woes before acknowledging any good. And often sharing those woes with almost any person we encounter when healthy boundaries haven’t been established.

This doesn’t mean bringing our perfect, tidied-up selves into each relationship but imagine being supported by a therapist for mental and emotional processing. Imagine going to a yoga teacher for mindful movement. Imagine coming into close-knit groups where you aren’t necessarily unveiling things for the first time and dumping the weight of what you couldn’t process alone onto someone else, making it a burden that someone didn’t need to carry.

There are situations where people may not be able to afford all these resources and this is where a trusted loved one can be instrumental to one’s healing. And it is also courteous to ask if that person has space to hold what you want to share. It is respectful to inform people that what you are about to share may be triggering. 

These things weren’t always modeled to us but in a world that is becoming more trauma-informed, it may be important to know especially when a lot of information is often over-shared (such as on social media). 

When we stop using every interaction and every platform to air out dirty laundry, we can start cultivating deeper self-awareness by being present with emotions and thought patterns not to scrutinize or analyze but to extend more self-compassion. 

For caregivers and people in supportive roles, remember it is safe to say “no” and honor the limits of your emotional capacity. By honoring your own limits, you choose to operate from overflow rather than resentment that builds over time.

When we learn to process emotions and be gentle (and patient) with the integration process that follows, we stop relying on everyone for constant support and there opens the possibility of receiving support in a healthy, interdependent way.

Generational healing is a form of therapeutic heal Generational healing is a form of therapeutic healing that addresses the emotional, physical, mental, behavioral and spiritual trauma that was passed down through family lines. 

In the growing field of epigenetics, it’s thought that trauma can be passed down through intergenerational transmission of trauma where even the fetus can be impacted by a mother’s environment especially if she has experienced significant stress. 

Generational trauma can include abuse, poverty consciousness, slavery, war and violence. How it can play out in a person’s present-day life can be noted in similarities to former times when it doesn’t make rational sense in the modern day. 

For instance, you may have a great job that pays well but feel the constant need to work more and harder because subconsciously, you may believe you need to struggle for money if you saw your parents or caregivers struggle financially. 

The field of epigenetics discusses how epigenetic modifications are not permanent and can alter gene expression through environmental factors—which means changes in lifestyle and the right social support can offer tremendous benefit to one’s healing. 

By making more aligned choices, unhealthy cycles can be broken. Instead of remaining in toxic work environments that perpetuate the underlying hidden narrative that one must struggle for money, an aligned choice could be leaving that environment and ingraining more empowering beliefs that suggest money can be received in ways that are financially empowering and emotionally supportive. 

Generational healing is available in many forms and your body holds the wisdom as to which modality may be more beneficial for you if you seek to explore this area. This can include therapy, movement, somatic healing, family constellations, or even writing out limiting beliefs and replacing with new, more empowering beliefs.

Awareness combined with breath eventually leads to embodiment and breaking cycles not through force but by rewiring and peacefully recalibrating to a higher consciousness that isn’t a match for anything that is incoherent with peace, balance, and harmony.

Any imbalances in health often don’t have one main Any imbalances in health often don’t have one main root cause (although they can in simple situations). If energy was the sole reason behind disconnection and disease, it would be reasonable to assume that if one believes he or she could be miraculously cured through an energy healing session, that such healing would transpire. 

Often, what happens is people can experience benefits from alternative healing modalities in terms of feeling calm, grounded and full of clarity. There is tremendous value in experiencing such benefits for the mind and body. But ultimately, health is not linked to energy alone. 

We are also spirit, soul and physical form. This means that a person can go into one healing session and still revert to chaotic ways. It means you can visit a doctor, take medications and still feel disconnected from your body. This doesn’t mean denying the gifts and values of each provider or space-holder but to bring awareness that to shift at the level of identity takes deeper transformation which happens at the level of spirit and consciousness. 

When a shift in identity happens, transformation sets off a domino effect where your awareness, beliefs, emotions and actions are in congruence with the healthier version of you. 

In the case of PMDD, it may make sense to simply evaluate hormonal health and any stressors impacting a person’s life. But by understanding intergenerational trauma that can even impact the fetus in the womb, our perspective can widen to see that some stressors go beyond what may be easily perceived by the eyes. 

This goes beyond standard diagnoses or treatment plans or even typical forms of energy healing. It involves people starting to feel and be with the spirit within to then guide what decisions are most appropriate and empowering. 

One of the most powerful things a woman can do as it pertains to womb wisdom is to follow the guidance of her instincts, to feel that pain enough to trigger a response that warrants positive changes she must make without getting attached to the pain body, and to then remove what is triggering pain (in a healthy way).

It helps you to ground, reduce stress, enhance cognitive function and foster deep relaxation. It’s thought that when grounding and making contact with the earth, the body starts to recalibrate to earth’s natural frequency which can help to lower cortisol levels, improve heart rate variability and balance the autonomic nervous system. 

Much of the modern world is chronically exposed to EMF radiation because of WiFi, phones and power lines which can lead to fatigue and inflammation. Returning to the frequency of earth can influence the body’s circadian rhythm and help to stabilize sleep patterns as well as enhance immune function by restoring balance and harmony. 

In today’s world where technology and all our devices can be beneficial in terms of convenience but also contribute to more disconnection, it’s important to be close to nature and honor the sacred relationship we have with her. 

Being close to the earth helps you to harmonize the different aspects of yourself within which then allows you to live in greater harmony with nature and the world. 

By being and living in more relaxed states, you start to make more empowering decisions from a place of clarity and peace. The feeling of interconnectedness with nature then leads to fostering the interconnectedness of the mind and body. And when this starts to become normalized, balanced and harmonized, physical health tends to improve.
